Onefile is built to keep your reading yours. The short version: we don't collect anything.

What we collect

Nothing. The Onefile browser extension does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. It has no accounts and no analytics. We operate no servers that see your browsing or your saved files.

How your data is handled

Capturing a page, reading it, and highlighting all happen locally in your browser. Saved files are written to your own device as standard HTML files. Your highlights and notes live inside those files, on your disk — never uploaded.

Permissions

The extension requests only what it needs to work: access to the current tab when you click Save (to read the page you're capturing), the ability to run its capture script, and local storage (to remember your Pro license on your device). None of this leaves your machine.

Payments

If you buy Onefile Pro, the payment is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation that an order was paid so we can issue your license key; we never see your card details. Please see Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle payment information. Your license key is verified on your device, offline.
